Check your bio, without anybody rewriting it
Paste your bio and this page measures it: how long it runs, how many plain words are left once the emoji and the tags come out, whether there is an address in it, and whether the words you want to be found for actually appear. It never writes one for you and never offers a better version, because that is not a check: it is an opinion dressed up as a result.

What can be checked, and why it came out this way
Paste your bio above and the checks appear here. Everything happens in your browser: your profile is never looked up, nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing is kept when you close the tab.
- Whether your bio is better than somebody else's. This counts characters, words, lines and emoji; voice, taste and offer are not measured, and anybody scoring those is handing you an opinion with the face of a result.
- Your network's cap, which you supply. This page keeps no table of limits because they change without warning, and a stale cap misleads more than no cap at all.
- The link field of the profile, which sits apart from the bio. This page only sees the text you paste, so a call to action living there cannot be checked from here.
- How each app counts characters. One emoji can be worth one or several depending on where you paste it, and accented letters are not counted the same way everywhere either.
Frequently asked questions
Does this page write the bio for me?
No, and it is not a missing feature: it is the line. This checks what can be checked and explains every finding so that you fix it yourself. Not one sentence coming out of this page could be pasted into a profile as a bio, because they all talk about your text instead of being text of yours.
Is what I paste sent or stored anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser: there is no server behind it, no profile is looked up, your username is never asked for, and nothing is kept when you close the tab. The page is served just as statically with the field full as with it empty.
Why does it ask me for the character cap instead of knowing it?
Because a cap written by hand in here goes stale in silence. Networks change them and nobody announces it, and an old number inside a tool that promises to check your length is worse than no number at all. The counter next to the field while you edit your profile is the one source that never falls behind.
What does the score mean?
How many checks pass out of the ones that could run. The ones left without data count neither for nor against, there are no weights, and there is no mark out of a hundred. Every point comes from a named check, and the reason it came out that way is right underneath.
